Employees are the most important resource at Dickson Electric System. Without them, it would be impossible to deliver electricity to our approximately 35,000 customers. Currently, DES has the following job opening.

Journeyman Lineman — Dickson Electric System has an opening for a Journeyman Lineman. Must have thorough knowledge of approved methods, materials and tools in electrical utility line construction and maintenance. Must be able to anticipate and plan for the unexpected and have good mental concentration while working with electricity. Must be physically able to work long hours, perform heavy manual tasks, carry heavy equipment, and work outside in all kinds of terrain and weather conditions at any hour of the day or night. Must be able to climb poles and work out of a bucket at heights up to 80 feet. A high school diploma or GED and a valid Tennessee CDL driver’s license is required.
