Dickson Electric originated in 1905 and began purchasing power from TVA in 1936. At its inception Dickson Electric committed itself to providing the most reliable service at the lowest possible cost. One hundred years later, our commitment remains as true as ever.

Dickson Electric System is a public utility serving 33,000 customers in five counties. Counties presently served are Dickson, Hickman, Cheatham, Houston and Montgomery. We strive to keep in touch with our customers ever changing needs so that we may better serve them.

With skilled planning and dedicated employees Dickson Electric System is prepared to meet the challenges of our fast growing service areas. To do this, we are presently offering bank drafts, security lights, levelized billing, heat pump loans, energy-right new homes and manufactured home programs and surge protection.

The manager oversees the day-to-day operation of the system and the work of 65 employees.

I would like to welcome you to our web site. I have seen and been a part of numerous changes in the past, and foresee a new era of competition for electricity providers in the future.
