New Install
Enhance the safety of your home or business with leased outdoor lighting. DES offers 3 dusk-to-dawn LED fixtures installed on existing or added DES service poles.
Cost
- Light and pole rental charges are added to your monthly electric bill
- The monthly rates change by a few cents as TVA adjusts our electric rates each month
- Some new installations may be subject to construction fees to be paid before installation

Process
Residential property owner or business owner must:
- Sign a 2-year Application-Contract
- Pay a $25 non-refundable application fee
When the contract term expires, outdoor lights continue billing on a month-to-month basis until the customer requests light be turned off or removed.
After receiving the completed Application-Contract and $25 application fee:
- DES will schedule a meeting at the property with you or your agent to determine the most effective location(s) and light model(s) to be installed
- Outdoor light installations are typically completed within 1 to 4 weeks

Maintenance
DES takes care of normal maintenance on damaged or malfunctioning lights.
When requesting outdoor light repairs, please provide:
- Your contact information
- Details on the light location (any ID#s on the pole)
- Describe if the light is broken, does not come on at all, only works occasionally, or stays on all day
